So there you go - my ridiculous little phone. In 2015 I purchased a rather expensive HVAC system from Sears.
I had a clam-shell but found I really missed Maps especially and I love that I have (what seems) to be the best parts of a smart phone available, while completely discouraging other useless time sucks. It took my micro-sim no problem and is working just fine using my Public Mobile network.
It's extremely LOUD, you can hear this sucker buried in your pocket or backpack. There is, however a decent speech-to-text so if I do have a long message I just speak it and hit send. Which can be both a good or bad thing, it's frustrating enough it keeps me from wanting to scroll or type, but not UNusable. The typing is insanely small - doable but annoying af. Though for about 30$ more (so around 90$ Canadian dollars) you can get the same phone, with better specs on a 4g LTE network. It runs on a 3G network which here in Canada is sunsetting to complete shutdown in 2025, so I have some time yet. Battery life is decent, but can last over a day if you're only checking it periodically for the odd text or whatnot. I downloaded my needed apps, like maps, email, messenger, calendar and discord, which brought it up to about 70% capacity and still running fairly fast. So everything you'd have on your regular phone is on this dinky thing. It has 6 GIGS ((edited because confusion with the letter "g")), and runs an andriod OS.
